Connecting your accounts
Before you can publish, you need to connect at least one social media account.
- Go to Settings > Connected Accounts.
- Click Connect next to the platform you want to add.
- Follow the authorisation steps to give Rheos permission to post on your behalf.
Connecting an account is a one-time setup. Once connected, you can publish to that account from any post.
Platform availability by plan
Which platforms you can connect and publish to depends on your plan:
| Plan | LinkedIn personal | LinkedIn business page | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Yes | -- | -- |
| Personal | Yes | -- | -- |
| Business | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Team | Yes | Yes | Yes |
- LinkedIn personal profiles are available on all plans, including Free.
- LinkedIn business pages require the Business plan or above.
- Instagram (Business and Creator accounts) requires the Business plan or above.
If you need to publish to Instagram or a LinkedIn business page, you can upgrade your plan in Settings.
Publishing a post
When your post is ready, you have three options:
Publish now
Click Publish Now to send your post to your connected accounts immediately. Rheos will show you a confirmation before anything goes live, so you can double-check the content and selected accounts.
Schedule for later
Click Schedule to pick a specific date and time. Your post will be saved and published automatically at the scheduled time. This is ideal for:
- Posting at peak engagement times, even when you are not at your desk.
- Planning content in advance for the week or month.
- Coordinating posts around events, launches, or promotions.
Save as draft
If you are not ready to publish or schedule, click Save as Draft. Drafts live in your Posts page and you can come back to them at any time. Drafts do not count towards your weekly post limit.
The content calendar
The Calendar page gives you a visual overview of all your scheduled and published posts. Each day shows the posts planned for it, colour-coded by status:
- Scheduled -- Waiting to go live at the set time.
- Published -- Already live on your social accounts.
- Draft -- Saved but not yet scheduled.
You can drag posts between days to quickly reschedule them.
Choosing the best time to post
Rheos shows you when your audience is most active based on general platform best practices. As a starting point:
- Instagram -- Weekday mornings (9-11am) and evenings (7-9pm) tend to perform well.
- LinkedIn -- Tuesday to Thursday, early morning (7-8am) and lunchtime (12-1pm) are popular.
The best time for your specific audience may vary. Experiment with different times and check your analytics to find what works.
Multi-platform publishing
When publishing a post, you can select multiple accounts to publish to at once. Rheos will adapt the post for each platform:
- Hashtag counts adjusted for platform norms.
- Image dimensions optimised for each platform's requirements.
- Caption length adjusted if needed.
You can also customise the post for each platform individually if you want to tailor your message.
Post limits by plan
Each plan has a weekly limit on published and scheduled posts:
- Free -- 2 posts per week.
- Personal -- 5 posts per week.
- Business -- 20 posts per week.
- Team -- Unlimited.
Drafts do not count towards this limit. You can check your current usage in Settings.
Managing published posts
After a post goes live, you can find it in the Posts page with a "Published" status. From there you can:
- View the published post on each platform.
- See engagement metrics once they start coming in.
- Duplicate the post to create a similar one for a different platform or time.
Tips for effective scheduling
- Batch your content. Set aside time once a week to create and schedule multiple posts. This keeps your feed consistent without daily effort.
- Plan around your calendar. If you have an upcoming event, product launch, or holiday, schedule relevant posts in advance.
- Leave room for spontaneity. Not everything needs to be scheduled. Keep some space for timely, in-the-moment posts.
- Review before it goes live. Check your calendar at the start of each week to make sure everything still makes sense and nothing needs updating.
